Pregnancy Loss Under 22 Weeks = Miscarriage-Abortion

Pregnancy Loss Under 22 Weeks = Miscarriage-Abortion

Pregnancy loss less than 22 weeks according to the last menstrual period is called miscarriage. Because there is no case of a baby born before this gestational week. Babies born over the 22nd week of gestation have the ability to survive and are therefore called birth. Every baby born alive must be registered and given an identity number. That is, it is treated as an individual. For this reason, in case of severe anomaly-defects that seriously threaten the mother’s life or incompatible with life in the baby, termination of pregnancy should be completed until the 22nd gestational week, in other words, it should be carried out by making a diagnosis until this week.

Miscarriage cases are also examined in two main groups as early and late abortion. Because their characteristics are different, their causality may be different.
